Cleo Khary breaks out @ "Good Vibrations"

.

Cleo Khary

This was one of my most anticipated appearances at "Good Vibrations" because of the booking of dj Cleo Khary.  It was important to me because Cleo was part of a 5 set interview done a few weeks back that featured excellent up and coming Baltimore House dj's.  Because of this website I am able to communicate and hear more dj's than the usual club goer and I know how many good dj's are waiting for their turn.  Baltimore has a crowded field of good dj's so it's hard for everyone to get exposure.  All they need is a chance to play.  Cleo goes to a lot of the parties around town to support other dj's and, with David Greenwood, has started the vibrant and energetic "Inner Corner Band".  Yup that's Cleo workin' the cowbell at the Sky Lounge sometimes.  He absolutely deserved a change on a big stage because he supports other dj's and did all the footwork to get to this point.  DJ Biskit gave Cleo Khary a change to shine and shine he did.  When you get a change to play at one of the biggest parties in town on a holiday, you start getting nervous but Cleo kept his cool even when the system lost sound for a few seconds....and I was really feeling the version of Peven Everett's "I can't believe I loved her" he was playing at the time.  For those who wasn't aware, that was Cleo working the EQ's on the Stevie Wonder track.  I am damn proud of Cleo Khary for cranking out a world class set and thanks to Biskit for booking him.  The "Good Vibrations" party is a 5-6 hour party and has time to inject 3 or 4 dj's into the party.  Who knows, Cleo might have paved the way for some of the rest of the up and coming dj's to play there.  Click here if you missed the interview with Cleo and click here to hear one of his mixes in our House mixes page.   Please remember these names and check out some of their mixes in our House mixes page:  JLee, Henry "Da Man", DJ Chuck, DJ Qwest, DJ Soulgiver, Sahib Muhammad, & Donny Burlin).
