DJ Spen, world known dj/producer and beloved Baltimore native son, joins Gary Deane at Code Red Studios. Gary Deane owns Baltimore's Code Red Studios and has had many well known local and international artists, producers, etc. come through his studio in the last 3 years. With the new collaborations with DJ Spen, Code Red Studio and Code Red Recordings are poised to become another leading production company in the US & abroad.

In the interview hear the two talented partners speak on the new visions for the studio. You can hear DJ Spen describe his excitement in this new effort since leaving the Basement Boys. Gary Deane, who also dj's, breaks down the direction of the soon to be well known Code Red Recordings label. I had a chance to hear some of the songs that these guys are starting to release & plan to release, and I want to tell you that hits are on the way...trust me. With the start of Basement Boys Records in 1994, Spen formed the Jasper Street Company and released his first full production called "A Feelin'". Later, along with his partner Josane, Spen completed the Jasper St. Co. L.P. entitled "IN A SPENSANE WORLD". Today Spen is a full time remixer/producer for Basement Boys Productions and a nightclub DJ worldwide.(hotstepper)
