Colonel Abrams comes to Bmore

.

Colonel Abrams

"....don't you hurt my feelings..."

Right off the bat let me tell you that Evelyn's her name and she runs the "Echo-Bravo" entertainment company.  She is responsible for starting the "Playtime in the Daytime" party at the Paradox w/dj's Sahib Muhammad, Jack "Soulgiver" McClelland, Aaron Crossley, and Dan Byrd.  This is the 3rd party for them at the Dox and this time they decided to bring in some live entertainment to spice up the evening.  The legendary singer and Baltimore favorite, Colonel Abrams was the headliner along with new-comer Aisha Mike.  With the non-traditional hours, many people slept on what would be one of the most exciting dance performances of the year in Bmore.  First, Aisha Mike would perform and warm things up with a very hot and sultry performance.  Then, after a small break, it was Colonel's turn.  If you thought this was some washed up singer from "back in the day" you are wrong!!!  Colonel Abrams gave an exciting performance that had everyone pumped up and some asking for "1 more song".  He sang new and old stuff and the Paradox sound system made it seem like a 'surround sound' as his performance was more into the dance floor area.  Colonel can still dance and is such a great performer that he knew how to work the crowd saying "......like we use to at Odell's.....and like we use to at the Paradise Garage.....".  Watch out for an updated version of "Music is the Answer" in stores. This was worth the trip and I am glad I was there.  If you want more on how fun his performance was just ask some of the people who came out to support this night(Henry Da Man, Jason(Soul Providers), Thommy Davis, dj NeoSoul, dj Soulgiver, Jason Din, dj Chuck, or Wayne Davis of course).

(Many people don't know Evelyn yet but if you were there and you want to give her props about the night

email her at echo.bravo@comcast.net )
