| On Saturday January 11th DJ Pope (b-sOuL) had his official cd release party @ Club 5 in D.C.(a baby Ibiza). Before we go any further we want to thank all the Baltimore contingent for showing up to support DJ Pope and all the artists who performed. First of all even if this had not been a cd release party the performances were still incredible. Una, Sheila Ford, Ed Ramsey, & Teressa had total crowd participation in their performances. Some already knew some of the lyrics to Una's song "I'll be there 4 U". We said it before and were gonna' say it again. If you missed Ultra Nate's "Blue Notes in the Basement" that's ok. If you never bought DJ Spen's "In a Spensane world" we still excuse you. But you have been forewarned, DO NOT MISS THIS ONE. We stake our whole internet credibility on this one and we can say without hesitation that this cd is as good as the Blaze cd that came out a year ago. If some of these tracks don't create a buzz at the WMC then we'll know politics is at play. The cd has mellow tracks, hard dance tracks, & a couple of patented Baltimore Gospel House tracks in which Sheila Ford & Marty St. Michaels let loose on. CD's were being sold at the party for a discount and we gladly paid for this one and will not burn copies for our friends. Tentatively, the |

| cd is set to be released to stores on or about January 20th 2003. Although all the tracks sound pleasing to us we think the sleeper will be a surprise to you all. It's the cd title track called "My Way" with Brian Pope on vocals. You heard me! The song has the same deep & mellow vibe as Blaze's "Lovely Ones". After this cd, never again will people speak about Baltimore House music producers and not mention the Brothers in the Struggle. Other notable artists on the cd includes Charles Dockins, Ollie Johnson, John Clark, & John Redman. One last comment, please remember the names of some of the artists from this cd as we believe someone, from this cd, is destined for stardom. |
