Wayne,

Although I havent had the pleasure to meet you personally, I would like to say Happy Birthday and may God continue to bless you on your wonderful journey, my brother. What a spectacular turnout you had for your 50th! NOT SINCE THE GARAGE closing in Oct of 1987 have I had such a good time at a club. I reported back to my NYC crew and told them that the Odell's reunion at the DOX's WAS OFF THE HOOK and that it outclassed the Garage reunion in Central Park.....HANDS DOWN!!!!!!!

The music was absolutely the BEST I've heard since the Garage closing in Oct of 1987. And I must say that I'm proud to be apart of the 35 year old plus crew, cause DAMNIT we can PARTY! The energy in the main room was magical!

I think you have something here my brother that you have to maximize on. I think a Classics party for us 30 plus year olds should be on the agenda periodically.

Thanks for a MEMORABLE nite!

Oh my goodness!!!

My knees are hurting so bad!!! I haven't danced like that in ages!! Those who know me were in shock when they saw me dancing because I only dance to the classics and House Music. My wife and I had a ball. This was definetly the party of the year, probably the decade!!. There was so much energy at the Dox last night!! Truly magical!! I saw faces that I haven't seen in 10,15 years!!

The Music?!?!, awww maaaaaan!!! How bout Wayne working the crossover on "Runaway Love"?!?!?! Unreal!! He still has it. The people showed him much love!! Truly awesome!! There was so much love in the room. This is how Odells was back in the day as I remember it!! There were straight, gay, black, white all dancing TOGETHER in the spirit of the music, Clapping, Screaming, Stomping, hands in the air, singing along with the music. When Tony Fashaw played "Love Sensation", the whole crowd was singing in unison!! Incredible!!

Mad props to all the DJ's that played last nite!! Wayne, Mookie(you got skills), Tony and Teddy!! Let me tell ya'll, we the 30-35 & over crowd can party our asses off!! It was great!!

Together in the Spirit of the Music!!!!

First and foremost I would like to say Happy B-day Wayne! That party last night was OFF the HOOK! It was soo good to see everyone still healthy and having a wonderful time. I saw some people who I haven't seen in years smiling and looking beautiful! It was a great place to network! We needed this! We need this event to happen for the 35 and older crew at least ONCE a month! (PLEASE) For all the spectators, I hope you got an eye full because that was what TRUE partying was ALL ABOUT! The music was great! When Wayne turned over throne to the next DJ, it was still hoppin'! I am so thankful that I was able to experience this party! There are so many others that were MIA for one reason or another. It was good seeing KARATE and JACKIE! This party brought back all the old memories!

Unfortunately, I had to work this morning (I didn't leave until 3:30am). I lot of people awoke this morning saying 'I STILL GOT IT GOING ON'!

God Bless!
Remember think of the 35 and older. We can party and we have money too!

This is just a note to say how special it was seeing everyone last evening at Wayne's 50th. Thank GOD there are so many out there who shared the VISION and made this evening 1 to remember! Wayne Davis, Wayne Davis, Wayne Davis, YOU STILL GOT IT! I can't remember when I've danced like I lost my mind but I know one thing, I will remember this one! I wish all God's speed and look forward to seeing you at Wayne's 51st.

Peace, Love and Blessings

Mickey

WHEW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At 47 I still party in the DC area and do visit the Paradox occasionally, But last night (this morning!) was OFF THE HOOK !!!!!

O'DELLS WAS IN THE HOUSE !!! - Odell Brock was smiling down on all of us.

Wayne performed !!! The working of the crossover ( an Richard Long Exclusive )
has always been the magic of the original, tight sound system. Song's that I
have the occasion to play myself were awsome on the Paradox sound system.
I danced from the time I got in until I could'nt dance anymore.

The crowd, Gay, Straight, Black, White, All Ages brought back the flavor of the original O'DELL'S.

It was refreshing to see the posters of the original O'DELL'S with the neon Boy's and Girl's over the bathroom's. Can I get one ??

This has got to happen at least once a month. There are people hungry for this
in the forty + age range. We have our profession's, but we could use a local release like this on a regular basis. Plus it's a good cardio-vascular workout.

Ha! Ha! Ha! lol

I have been into House Music for the last 7yrs now , so I think it's safe to say that I am still a baby to the music. Sat's party was so special to me , I got a chance to see what true House music lovers are all about. The vibe in there was deep. I have never seen the Dox's so crowded. I was so happy to share that night with everyone. When the original O'dells was open I was to young to enter, So Sat.was extra special. Hopefully, God's Willing on Wayne's 51st, We can experience that special night again. Thank's Wayne. I'll see you all at PoJi's Groove and Industry Night.

Peace&Blessings
To You All...
